Position Summary:
Media/Tech Support Program Assistant

Serve as a program management team member.  The program uses media in various ways as an educational tool in our community learning spaces.  This position requires knowledge of social media usage, Microsoft applications, and usage of sound and video equipment.  This position supports the overall flow of Program Themes. Starting pay 9.50/hr.

Employment Classification: Temporary (7 weeks) July/August

Part Time (15 Hours/ Week)

Summer Academic Camp and mandatory training (July 17- August 25)

Training dates TBA

Objectives and Responsibilities

  •   Work on a program team to build and implement daily programming
  •   Work sound and video for community learning spaces
  •   Work closely with Program Director for planning and implementation of program needs
  •   Set up and assist with computers in the math computer lab
  •   Research/set up various types of media for theme fluency
  •   Prepare soundtracks and media hard copies for record-keeping and continued learning
  •   Assist in developing camp memory soundtrack
  •   Community Classroom set-up:
  •   Some administrative assistance

Qualifications

  •   Strong Communication skills
  •   Experience working on a team
  •   Some administrative skills
  •   Experience working with people of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  •   Experience/ and or Enjoy working with children, youth and their families
  •   Willing to work with a Faith-based organization
