30 Years of Transformative Impact, Legacy, and Change
Nehemiah had its beginnings in 1992 with a small group of young visionary Black leaders that had a dream of building up the growing Black community in Dane County. Now 30 years later, we are celebrating the impact Nehemiah has made on the Black community and the enrichment of the entire community in the process.
In early 2023, Nehemiah will be officially kicking off an endowment campaign – to ensure a healthy and equitable future for our entire community. Let us know if you would like to learn more.
The on-going support that we receive from you is CRITICAL to Nehemiah’s work in our community right now. Please consider making a recurring monthly donation – a commitment that allows us to plan more confidently for our collective future.
Our community of supporters ensure that Nehemiah’s work has the greatest impact possible. Understanding what motivates you to engage with Nehemiah is very important to us! Please tell us about what is most important to you.
“What we’ve always done is that we’ve listened to the community, listened to the trends and we’ve listened to participants in our programs. The growth of Nehemiah has come not because people fit into our programs, but because our programs grew to expand with pressing community needs.”
Nehemiah cultivates character, leadership, and economic development for the African American community through culturally grounded programs and strategic systemic change.
