Position Summary:
Van Driver/Transportation Assistant/Miscellaneous task support staff

The Van Driver/Support Staff’s primary duty is to safely transport students and staff to and from their daily destinations. Drivers will also provide support with shopping, various errands, and help with miscellaneous program needs upon availability. Starting pay is $9.50-11:50/hour. Pay negotiable based upon experience

Employment Classification:  Temporary (7 weeks) July/August

Part Time positions open (20 Hours/ Week).

Summer Academic Camp and mandatory training (July 17- August 25)

Training dates TBA

Objectives and Responsibilities

  •   Assist in any program need involving transportation
  •   Safely transport children to daily activities and any special activities (sp. Training provided for this)
  •   Assist in any transporting of goods via shopping and/or equipment moving
  •   To attend regular staff meetings/trainings to ensure program goals are met
  •   Provide daily maintenance of vehicle (cleaning, gas refills, minor maintenance duties)
  •   Administrative duties required for driving company vehicle (mileage reporting, gas usage, driver    training)
  •   At times will assist in misc. tasks around the program as needed
  •   Some light lifting required

Qualifications

  •   Possess a valid driver’s license
  •   Have a clean driving record
  •   Experience working with children and youth
  •   Strong Communication skills
  •   Ability to be flexible
  •   Experience working on a team
  •   Some administrative skills
  •   Experience working with people of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  •   Willing to work with a Faith-based organization
