Position Title:  Reentry Services Housing Coordinator                                                                                                                                       

Employee Classification: Part Time (20 Hours/Week), Nonexempt

POSITION SUMMARY – Description of the major goals and responsibility areas of this position:


 Tenants (30%)

  • Market for new tenants
  • Assist with tenant move in
  • Obtain signed leases
  • Oversee tenant eviction and move out
  • Help mediate disputes
  • Hold regular tenant meetings
  • Collect rent, late fees

Incidents & Emergencies (15%)

  • On call for second level emergencies
  • Notify Reentry Director of all first level emergencies
  • Write up incident reports for all problems

Facility (Grounds & Maintenance) (15%)

  • Oversee regular maintenance (plan) – fire alarms, extinguishers
  • Arrange for regular and specific maintenance: for mowing, snow removal
  • Oversee apartment turn around
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of furniture, kitchen stuff, beds, bedding
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with property neighbors

Housing Team (10%)

  • Report to Director of Reentry Services
  • Oversee house checkers
  • Work with Reentry Administrator

Nehemiah Staff & Admin (10%)

  • Attend staff meetings and gatherings as available
  • Meet with Director weekly
  • Submit required staff reports
  • Develop and oversee housing budget in conjunction with the Director and Housing Team
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities as appropriate




High School Education

Strong communication and customer service skills

Attention to detail

Microsoft Office skills preferred
