Join us May 29: Celebrate “Our Madison”

Please join the Justified Anger Coalition on Friday, May 29 2015 from 6-8pm at the Alliant Energy Center for the unveiling of “Our Madison Plan.

The evening will include:

  • Refreshments
  • Live Music from Neo-soul Band, KinFolK
  • Justified Anger Framework Roll-out
  • Collaboration Opportunities
  • A Call To Action

This reception, celebration and assembling of allies will be a call to action to build community and renew our collective hope in a Madison that offers opportunities wherein we ALL thrive.

The leadership of Justified Anger has spent the past year convening, facilitating, organizing, interviewing and strategizing. We have made unprecedented progress in  collaborating within the African American community. Our findings have been turned into a empowering and forward-looking framework of action. We want to spend an evening with the people who are most responsible for implementing these strategies:you, us, our organizations/agencies, everyone. We need all hands on deck if we are really serious about taking Madison from worst to first as a community that serves everyone, particularly African American children and families.

Please join me, the Justified Anger Coalition and the community as we move ahead together in enhancing the quality of life of this great community.

  1. Thank you all for this info!
I live 5 and 1/2 hours away but will be with all of you in spirit!
We are a community of people who figure things out and we will work together for the positive as we always have. Our whole state is in need of a time to celebrate the amazing history of being a place that works for the positive …. we have been one of the leaders in education/environmental justice/social justice and in ways to be creative relative to the most important things we have in life. Our air, our water, the land ethic and the ways we treat one another. More songs from more people like Peter Leidy… more gardens grown by more people like Will Allen & more strength in all of us to remember who we really are! Have a great celebration!
