The South Madison Center for Culture & Community is a multicultural and multigenerational community gathering hub on Madison’s south side that promotes and inspires cultural and creative community exchanges among Madison’s diverse community through plays, concerts, films, lectures, meals, art shows and educational and enrichment seminars.

As the SMCCC develops, it will have several program Centers:

  • Culture
  • Education
  • Social Services & Empowerment
  • Community
  • Justice and Economic Development.

  1. Hello,my name is Denise James. I am the supervisor for Foster Grandparent Program at RSVP. Our program places Grandparents at different locations through out Madison. FGP’s work in partnership with teachers in supporting children who are at risk or have challenges in their learning environment. FGP’s are paid a bi- weekly stipend for volunteering. FGP’s are another resource working to close the gap in minorities achievement in reaching their educational goals.
